RISE comprises dedicated SMU undergraduate students aspiring to build successful careers in real estate. Their journey is guided by the foundational principles provided through the RISE curriculum and bolstered by the support of the SMU Cox School of Business.

The RISE Program offers an intensive curriculum designed to position students for success beyond the classroom. It includes supplementary materials that enhance their candidacy for prospective employers.

Our curriculum encompasses a comprehensive introduction to real estate as an asset, covering supply and demand, asset classes, valuation methods, capital markets, and capital stack manipulation. It also includes pitch design, underwriting for various property types, advanced underwriting models, and culminating in pitch reviews and a portfolio performance evaluation.
